Primary PE & Sports Grant

The government is determined to secure a significant and lasting legacy from the outstanding achievement at London 2012.

In order to achieve this and improve the provision of P.E. and sport in primary schools, additional funding of around 150 million pounds per annum has been made.

As a staff, we have carefully assessed the needs of the children in our school, and audited our resources in order to maximise the impact of the funding.

We are committed to providing high quality, enjoyable and challenging PE lessons.
A strong emphasis is placed upon team work and co-operation
A different unit is taught each term to provide our children with a diverse range of sports, and encourage them to try new skills and gain confidence with new activities. A strong emphasis is placed upon team work and co-operation, thus fitting in with our strong emphasis on values education.

As a school, each year we enter many of the school games competitions, run by the Redbourne Schools Sport Partnership. We are placing a greater emphasis on these competitions this year.

We look forward to future sporting challenges and will continue to engage and challenge all of our children. London 2012 continues to be an inspiration to us all, and we pledge to nurture talents and encourage happy, healthy lifestyles.
